To ensure your candle burns cleanly and lasts as long as possible, always trim the wick to 1/4 inch before every lighting. On your first burn, allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar (this usually takes 2–3 hours). This prevents "tunneling" and ensures you don't leave any wax behind on the sides!

We recommend burning your jars for no more than 4 hours at a time. This keeps the glass from getting too hot and preserves the quality of the fragrance oil. Always burn your candles on a heat-resistant surface and away from drafts, pets, and children.

One of the best things about our farmhouse jars is that they are reusable! Once about 1/2 inch of wax remains, discontinue use. You can clean out the remaining wax with warm, soapy water and repurpose the jar for storage, flowers, or office supplies.

Farmhouse Creations candles are made using a proprietary blend of soy & paraffin wax. Why use a blend of both waxes? We want to incorporate the best qualities of both types of wax (longer burn time, brighter/vibrant colors, and increased scent throw).
All of our candles are hand-poured in individual batches, ensuring a quality product every time – no mass-produced products here! We use only premium fragrance oils that smell true to life – no fake chemical smell with our products.
Each 16 oz. glass mason jar will burn approximately 85-100 hours. The glass jar is recyclable or may be repurposed for small storage and use around the house. The lid is an antique looking rustic copper lid.
Candle Care:
The first time you light the candle, allow it to burn until the liquid wax covers the entire top of the candle. This breaking in process insures that it will perform better and more evenly throughout the life of the candle. This will insure a clean and efficient burning cycle for the life of the candle.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4 inch. If you notice a large flame during burning, blow out the candle & trim the wick before re-lighting. Place burning candle on heat resistant surface. Never move a candle while hot or burning. Blow out the candle if jar becomes excessively hot. Keep out of drafts. Keep out of reach of children.
To prevent candles from boring a hole down the middle, burn candles at a minimum of at least one hour for each inch in diameter. For example burn a 3 inch diameter candle for a minimum of at least 3 hours each time. Burn long enough to achieve a melt pool that can be seen all the way around the glass.
